Personal note

Hey all

So firstly I have to apologies for my lack of posting in the last month or so. I have currently been working on something new, which I am going to share with you all.
As I mentioned before fashion for me is more then the clothes we wear, wearing the clothing is easy but what about when you take off the extra skin are we still as fashionable as our clothing shows us to be?

This is why I feel that there are two types of fashion internal and exterior, as women I feel that it’s vital and important that we address our internal fashion because without this we will still be fighting the same battles. Internal fashion deals with confidence, self esteem, dieting, age, social and cultural influences, body images and much more.

I was recently given the opportunity to go to Hackney Quest a youth group to discuss this word we call fashion, I am not sure what it is but I keep on going back to this that we need to be the role models that young female look up to, we need to stand up and say love your self and your body.

I feel that there is so much pressure put onto young people to look and dress a certain why that they are losing their individuality, I mean more then all wearing the same clothing but we are losing our own personality which is so sad to see. We are seeing young girls trying to starve themselves to be a certain weight because this is what they believe is perfection, we see kids as young as 10 wanting to have plastic surgery because they believe they are not pretty enough. We as a society need to open our eyes and see how we are portraying women should look like is wrong, there are so many different body types and images, who are am I to say that you must look like this to have the perfect image.

I am still trying to figure out where I am going with this because I feel this is such an important area that I need to look more into, that we as society need to look more into.

So this is what I been looking into for the last month and so.
