Personal Note

Hey all,

So I thought I sit down and right a few lines about me and my fashion.

Firstly I would like to say a big thank you, to all those that have viewed this blog it does mean allot.

At the start of doing this blog I really wanted curvier ladies (what the industry call plus sizes) to feel great in their clothing, to feel like they are the most stunning person in the room, this why I said fashion for me is more then clothing we wear. Being a plus size my self I have struggled in the past to find my FASHION SENSE. and I thank God that I am in a place where I am like I don't care what others think, this is me, basically take me as I am or keep on going. I feel that this is a vital place for all women to get to. Sometimes we listen to friends, family, outside influences, and media before we take time to listen to our self. This personally is the biggest mistake any of us can make.

I love fashion from internal to exterior fashion, but what I love the most is wearing clothing that in the past I would stay clear I use to dress to be hidden. I just thought that dress would not suit me but I feel that because (not sure how to word where I am coming from here) I have this comfort ability with my self as a whole I am allowing my self to have my own fashion style to experiment with colours, and to basically be my self. It’s allowing me to show who I am.

People have said that I am stylish that they can never find clothes that fit how do I. theirs is a simple answer for this   I Dress for ME this may sound like the obvious answer but many of us that do this. Always find what suits you and your bodyshape don't compare you’re self to the next person because you will just enter into a cycle that is hard to break. Look for colours that compliment you skin tone. if your not totally confident in the clothing no matter how stunning the outfit/shoes are to others this will show and this is when people say o she should not have worn that or that don’t look right.

Final words for today just find out what your individual styles is and continue to build on them.

Love

Christmas Party outfits

Hey ladies, its that time of year again when we start to look for outfits for the festive season. December is allways a busy month and we want to look our best no matter the occasion. We have work parties, get together with friends, family parties, christmas day, and new years eve/day to get ready for. I have found some really nice party pieces from Asos. today i will be post for my lovely curver ladies. hope you enjoy xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Please note Asos cure range is from 20-26 but I would say if you a size 18 still take a look because some of the stuff is a just fit and I have found that their is not much difference in a size 18 and 20.

Ladies ladies ladies I am absolutely in love with this top yes I am, it’s a Jersey top with dip back. Where do I start with this top, the coral colour just jumps out for me, its one of those statement colours. This top allows for you to be causal but sheek at the same time. The exaggerated dip allows for you to less attention of you bum and thigh area. I would wear it black skinny jeans or black jeggings. As with the model in the picture I would wear it with ankle boots but I would look for ones with a bit of a detail maybe a studded pair. defo would wear big chunky bracelet and ring just to add to the whole affect.
This top is currently priced at £25 from Asos they also sell this top in black. sizes 20-26

So normally I am not a fan of the tutu dress, I think for me they don't really suit my body shape, or maybe I have not found one that I totally fall in love with. this is a stunning dress let me not take this away from but I would say with such a statement dress be careful that you don't get lost in the dress, meaning don't let it wear you. With this dress I would wear with platform black heels, or even peep toe platform heels. For me wedges are a defo NO GO with this dress. I would team it with a cream/black clutch bad with simple cream accessorises.
This dress is £70 sizes 20-26 from Asos

I must admit this lace dress with mesh skirt, did have me looking twice, I actually like the way the top of this dress is fitted and then the mesh skirt flares out a bit, again this dress is one that I would have to see on before I am totally sold on it, for the simple reason of I am not sure how well it would suit someone that is more curvier in the hip area, because it will flare up around the waste. with this dress I would wear it with Gold accessorises and for this dress I personally feel again only black shoes will go perfectly but I would say match your accessories with the shoes, previously Dorothy Perkins had shoes with a gold design on the heel. This would look great with this dress. (I will be doing a shoe article on Wednesday) this dress is £60 from Asos.

This collar dress with scallop detail is a great dress for the end of year work meal/party. It is a simple dress but with great detail. I am really getting into dress with a fitted waist for me I feel that it dress brings everything in and help to define your shape more. This dress is priced at £40.

Right so I am in love with this red cocktail dress with corsage shoulder. I don't feel the picture does this dress and justice to tell you the truth. I think this is a stunning dress. the red just pops out and it has that wow factor at the moment I have been seeing allot of bright colours clothing being worn with bright shoes for me with this dress I would keep it simple and wear it with black shoes just because the dress does the speaking for its self. I absolutely love it I really do; I can see my self wearing this to a New Years Eve party for example with my hair pinned up and a pair of simple stud’s earrings. This dress is £65.

So I have actually been looking on this green dress for a while. I love the spilt sleeve, and at the back of the dress its slash. but their something about this dress I can't put my finger on why I don't love it, by rights I should adore it but I just can't see me in the dress maybe its the green colour, but again its a stunning dress. This dress would be great to wear to the work party, meeting up with friends for a meal. The price of this dress is £35

Ladies I bought this bodycon dress with bow front and I am in LOVE with it, yes by all means it’s a simple dress. But I would defo dress it up, with bold accessorises. This dress is £25. Ladies I would say get the next size up if your conscious of fitted clothes, I got it in a size 20 and I am normally wear size 18 but I feel more comfortable in this dress from getting the next size up.

Jackets

Asos
I am going to start with the sizes 6-18 ranges

Here is a prime example of a jacket that is overly priced for which reason I don’t know sorry for me if I am going to pay £200 I would want a jacket to fit perfectly I mean perfectly that jacket should look like it was made for me. I just don’t see how this Penfield down filled shearing collar jacket does that. To me this jacket just looks like any other puffer jacket nothing, nothing less. A jacket is a vital part of anyone wardrobe and this jacket for if I had to mark just on looks and price alone I would give in 3.5 out of ten.

I actually love parka jackets always have this parka is made by warehouse, I do like this parka maybe because I think it fits the model well, I think this type jacket is good because it will wear well with all clothing in your wardrobe, from party pieces to work clothes. This jacket priced at £80.

Vila vintage style belted coat I actually really love this jacket yes it’s a statement piece but for me it also has that wow factor. If I had to I would mark this jacket 8/10. I am absolutely in love with it.

For my curvy ladies, I am fully aware that finding a jacket that is nice, that fit well and makes you feel super comfortable is hard at times just because the jackets that are on offer mostly black , blue, grey, and sometimes white and they tend to just look like a rain cover. I am hearing you say I want a fitted jacket. Well just look at these 3 beauties that I have found in the ASOS curve range sizes in this range is 20-26 but I would say for the ladies that are size 18 please still take a look because as we are all aware with jackets a lot come up smaller the size printed.

This chestnut fit and flare coat is £90 but I would happily spend this money on a jacket like this, to me the jacket looks like it will fit and look great on all sizes and shapes, I am loving this wide belt with the jacket I am not normally a fan of jackets with belts but this one works so well. If I was to mark it I will defo give it 10/10 with no question of doubt.

ASOS curve belted quilted coat £80 I like this jacket I am just not in love with it, maybe because I tend not to but or look at quilted/puff jackets just because I don’t feel it suits me. I can’t say anything bad or good for this jacket because it’s just a ok jacket for me.

This Asos curve Oviod coat in black and orange, this is defo a wow factor jacket I must admit I am very much tempted by it, for me personally I would not use this jacket as my everyday jacket I will leave it for when I am going out or special occasions just because it has that wow factor for me. this jacket is currently on sale for £80 was a £100

personal note

So at the moment I am into all shades of browns, yellows, and oranges maybe because we are in November and the weather is still good well its not snowing so I am refusing to sort through my winter wardrobe just yet. I am also loving that I am moving away from only buy black I am loving colours.

Have any of you gone shopping lately? I can not be the only one that is really happy with the clothing being put out. I am practically shocked the quality of clothing primark is producing I can honestly say that they going neck to neck with shops like Top shop and New look.

So I was getting little disappointed with new look because just seemed like the was not trying to give that wow factor for me the clothes was becoming boring predictable, for me they are doing a little better in their plus size range but still can do a lot more.

So I recently order two jackets from H%M and I am patiently awaiting the arrival of these jackets I find buying jackets so hard because I want jacket that fits and looks nice but I refuse to be paying over a £100 jacket, that to me don’t have that wow factor.

hey all

Hey all,
So firstly I have to apologise for the lack of blogs in the last two months, part of it was that I was busy but also it was me being lazy.

So the last time I blog I started to change the blog to cater for all sizes, and I have spoken to some people and they don’t think it’s a good idea because there are lot of blogs on smaller size fashion. I am thankful that my blog is read and needed but I still feel that I can cater for all, and remember I am trying to show all aspect of fashion. I don’t want my lovely curvy ladies to feel that I am not catering for them anymore because I am I just thought I will open it to all, as I love fashion.

So I am currently really excited about the prospect of taking up a sewing course in January, I am highly excited about this as I would love to make my own clothing, I love the idea of mixing two design together and making the perfect dress.

Love to you all xxxxxxxx

hey all

I am a very happy bunny today, why you all ask is because of the great sales that are going on at the moment. I mostly love Dorothy Perkins, I seen so many items I want to get. So please take a look on their website, as they offer more variety on their rather then go into the stores. New look has disappointed me in general the last couple of months because they have NO clothing that I would want to get  at the present time and its seems like they not getting new stock.

I am liking Asos but do find for some items in the curve range to be over priced but again I would say that they do offer great value for money, so it’s also worth taking on their website.

Evans doing a 50% sale on shoes, if you’re like me that needs a wider fitting with shoes, it’s definitely worth taking a look. They have some lovely pairs of Wellington boots,  I have just ordered the blue poko dots ones, winter is among us so please invest in a pair of Wellingtons.

So I have not been in Primark for a while so I can’t comment on what they have in stock, within the next couple of weeks will be going in their. I am hoping that this winter they are going to be doing more jumper dresses, I bought a lovely purple one from their last winter wishing I had bought it in black as well.

So I have been looking in Asda, Tesco, Sainsburys and I am pleasantly surprise on what they have on offer. Why is it we turn our noses down at these stores but will shop in the markets? Don’t be ashamed to take a look through their clothing you be surprised what they have to offer.

ladies with love. xxxxxxxx

So I thought I share two outfits that I have worn in the last month that I love. I think their nothing sexier, beautiful then wearing an outfit that you feel totally comfortable in. I said before your body is not made for fashion, but its fashion that is made for your body, so keep on trying new things find what complements your body shape and size. Before I would never wear a jumpsuit I thought it never complemented me at all, but this summer i have really got into them. As for me wearing a white dress before this would have been a total NO NO but both items of clothing i think are absolutely stunning.

This Jumpsuit is from Primark and was £9 I love it I accessorised it with a junky gold necklace, gold bangles and gold sandals. Ladies if I had to grade this outfit it would be 10/10 they have sizes 6-22 in this jumpsuit

This white dress is from Dorothy Perkins, when i first saw this dress I was not in love with it I actually walk pass it twice, because I never wear white i just didn't feel like white suited me so I always tended to avoid it. I love this dress I like the way it fits around the bust area and then flares out. When i wore this dress I wore gold accessorises and flat gold sandals, also have worn this dress with nude colour wedges.
Again marks 10/10

DATE OUTFITS

I was recently asked what to wear on a first date, its always that thing do I get dressed up, do I go casual its question we have and will ask ourselves.

I think the best solution is dress for the occasion for example if you know where your going dress for it.

Two examples:

If your going to the cinemas and maybe a bit to eat for argument sakes lets say nandos then I suggest you wear a casual outfit maybe peg trousers and nice blouse with  a pair of pumps and then accessorise the outfit with chunky jewellery

I am love love LOVING this orange beaded blouse from Asos, I think it’s a stunning item to have in your wardrobe.

If you’re going for meal in a restaurant down west end then I would say dress up a bit but keep it practical. Meaning if you can’t wear the heels wears flats. Yes I know allot of you are saying are you mad no I am not, think about what is going to be worse wearing flats and being comfortable and enjoying the evening of wearing heels and thinking how are you going to be able to walk in these shoes. Ladies there is nothing with walking with a pair of flats, to change into.

I love this blue dress from Dorothy Perkins I would remove the belt and team it with a vibrant red belt and also match it with red shoes. I think I am really getting into my colours and the mixing of them.

Going out outfits for all sizes from Asos

This Asos exclusive pencil dress wit cape detail, I love this dress I think because I love a pencil skirts why this dress works for me. You can where it to work and dress it up as well for a night out. Ladies remember I say that never get lost in an outfit make it your own. I would defo wear this with a platform heels round toe to complete this outfit. This is from the Asos curve range. Price £35

Also the detail in this dress is stunning.

For my smaller ladies this mini pussybow shirt dress with shirred cuffs is in sizes 6-18. I am really getting into colour at the moment; I feel this orange dress is such a statement dress I love love it. Also I feel that colour really brings out ladies features we tend to buy darker colours because it a safer bet lets be more daring and try different colours. Price of dress £35

So I have recently purchased this Slash back dress and I love it I shall be wearing it on Saturday night. This dress for me is sexy I love it I love the detail at the back of the dress. I will be taking a picture of the complete look on Saturday but this is how I am planning on wearing it, because at the back of the dress is slashed I am going to wear a pink bra because your bra does show be a little funky and team it up, I am going to be getting pink shoes to match it. This dress is currently n sale for £20 from Asos
curve range.
Picture to come next week.

I do love this black bodycon slash back dress. I feel like these bodycon dresses allow for you figure to show it hugs in all the write places, like the curve range I like the slash cut at the back of the dress. This dress £20 sizes 6-18
One thing I would say this dress is not for those who do not like showing their back as allot is on show.

Ok so this Jersey dress with cowl neck, I am not in love with it, I like but I don't have that wow factor I think because I would need to see this dress on someone and see how it is completely dressed up. I do like it but I don't think this dress is for everyone. This dress is £35

For the smaller ladies this drape cowl back strap detail dress is £25. What can I say about this dress, again from me I like it but don't love it. It is again a great buy and the detail at the back is lovely, I promise you if you dress this dress up with accessorise and a stunning pair of shoes it will turn from a simple dress to a WOW factor dress.

MY MUST HAVE'S

hey all i think i am gonna need to learn some self control omg i got some wonderful bits to show you all. omg i in love at the moment the fashion that is coming out has me all exicited.

So this dress for me is a must have in my going out wardrobe must must must have just cannot contain my self with this dress, it simple but sexy its a statement dress. just from the picture I can tell I would feel like a millionaire dollars what more would you want from a dress like this. Ladies this dress is from the Asos curve range for £45 sizes 18-26. The dress is called Huge Corsage Chiffon Dress. I would wear it with peep toe platform black shoes. I am screaming right know for how much I love this dress.

So I am really going to try and get into jeans this winter, I love these coloured jeans from new look inspire range. I would keep these jeans simple and wear them to work with flat pumps and vest top and cardigan. I would also wear big chunky bangles complete the outfit. This will allow for it to be kept simple but stylish at the same time, which is what most of us are looking for in winter. These jeans are £19.99 from new look.

Black Cardigan from new look for £14.99

I love these leather Rope Ballet shoes in every girl shoe collection should be many pairs of Ballet shoes, just feel that they go with most outfits, and they are light enough to put in your bag to change from your heels after a night out or a long day at work. These ones are from new look for £19.99. I am loving new look more know has they are offering wider range of shoes sizes they stock up to size 9

I do like this red lace babydoll dress, i am just not in love with it as much as other item of clothing I seen but again great value for money its currently on sale for £25 from Dorothy Perkins.

ladies ladies

Hey all, so I am going to be doing a male fashion post soon. Its for us to get to find what is fashionable to them, allot of men proclaim that they dislike shopping so they get their partner to and buy it, or they say the like to go in a shop and out a shop (they don’t like trying the clothing on in the store). I just want to know why? maybe because I love to shop so I can't understand how someone can dislike it so much. Also I want to know what they look for in fashion, and what is fashion to them? For females we know the dress has to fit a certain criteria, colour, style, fit and sometime texture. Is their a checklist that they have whilst shopping? So many questions I have. So please look for this post coming within the next couple of weeks.

Wining outfits from the summer.

So this summer saw me getting into maxi dresses I honestly think hands down this was the best investment I have made all summer. I bought three strapless maxi dress from Primark for £9 in brown and black, blue and white and pink. If I was to award this dress I would give it marks 10/10 I just loved the fit of them, the length, the comfort factor and just about everything to tell you the truth.
By all means these dresses are simple but its how you accessorise this dress that brings it out more.
I tend to wear mine with either sandals or peep toe wedges and gold accessorise, sometimes I team it with a belt but other times I just let if flow loosely.
This is a prime example of something that can be still worn in winter; no I have not gone mad. What I would do is wear it with a jumper on top a fitted jumper then it’s like you wearing a maxi skirt and a top. Or you can wear the boyfriend shirts to wear over the dress just to keep your arms warm.

I also love my purple maxi dress from New look its more of a fitted one, but still in love with as the others.

So I never thought I get into jumpsuits/playsuits if anyone had asked me I would have said you’re having a laugh jump suits would not suit me, as I thought they concentrated to much over my stomach area. Well I have to now eat my words I am absolutely in love with jumpsuits.
I bought four this summer and again what a good investment. The one I am most in love with has to be my flower print play suit. For me to buy a short one I had to be in love with it as I have scars on my leg so I tend to keep them covered unless I am on holiday or I just can’t get away with wearing leggings or tights. I teamed it with brown wedges, I have also worn it with flat sandals.

When I first saw this bow dress I walked past it because I thought it’s really boring to tell you the truth. It was not until I said let me try it on that I liked. The key to shopping for me is the item of clothing you work past is normally the item of clothing that would look good on you. I originally wore this dress to my God-son christening I wore it peep toe nude/tan wedges and I teamed it with the same colour clutch bag to make a little different. I teamed it with bronze accessorise. When I was holiday I wore it flat sandals. The dress is from new look

This simple £6 outfit is from H&M I love clothing that don’t cost a arm and leg to look good no thank you, I want my money to stretch especially how I like to shop.
The black mini skirt is £2.99 from H&M love love love it, and the pink vest top is also from H&M for £2.99.

Ok ok so my Favourite item of clothing bought this summer is this orange smock dress. I just don’t know what is but I love it, I really do. You know when wear something and you just wow I got it right well that’s how I felt in this dress. Ok I must admit I love my shoes with as well. The dress is from Primark for around £13 they still have them in stock in the following colours blue, purple and orange in sizes up to 20.
Don’t you think my shoes are cute as well they are orange poka dot bow wedges.
